Velox is built with privacy as a core principle. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, where it is stored, and what rights you have regarding your data.
Velox does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information with anyone. There are no analytics SDKs, no tracking pixels, no advertising frameworks, and no user accounts. SolarityAI does not operate any servers that receive data from Velox. We have no access to your data.
Velox accesses the following data types on your device. All data is processed and stored locally unless you explicitly enable iCloud Sync.
Velox accesses your device's GPS to:
Location data is stored locally on your device. It is never sent to any SolarityAI server or any third party.
Velox uses background location access to continue tracking your trip when you switch to other apps or lock your screen. This ensures your trip route, distance, and speed data are recorded without interruption. A blue indicator appears in the iOS status bar whenever background location is active. You can end background tracking at any time by stopping your trip. Background location is used solely for trip continuity and Dynamic Island updates. Continuous background location access will increase battery consumption.
Velox uses your device's accelerometer and gyroscope to:
All motion data is processed entirely on your device in real time. Raw sensor data is not stored. Only derived event metadata (event type, timestamp, and location) is saved locally. No motion or fitness data is sent to any server.
When enabled, Velox displays current weather conditions using Apple Weather (WeatherKit). Your approximate location is sent to Apple's servers to fetch weather data. This request is handled entirely by Apple's WeatherKit framework. SolarityAI does not receive, intercept, or store any weather-related data or location data used for weather requests. Apple's privacy policy governs the handling of this data.
Weather is the source of Velox weather data. Weather and the Apple Weather logo are trademarks of Apple Inc. Legal attribution.
If you enable iCloud Sync in Settings, the following data is stored in your private iCloud container via Apple's CloudKit:
This data is stored in your personal iCloud account. Only you can access it. SolarityAI has no access to your iCloud container. Apple's privacy policy governs iCloud data handling. You can disable iCloud Sync at any time in Velox Settings. Disabling sync does not delete previously synced data from iCloud; you can manage iCloud storage in iOS Settings.
Velox uses only Apple's built-in frameworks:
Velox contains no third-party SDKs, no advertising frameworks, no analytics services, and no crash reporting tools. SolarityAI does not receive, store, or process any data from any of these Apple services.
Velox is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 17. The app does not collect any data from any user regardless of age.
To the extent GDPR applies, the legal basis for processing location and motion data is your explicit consent, which you provide by granting location and motion permissions in iOS. You can withdraw consent at any time by revoking these permissions in iOS Settings. All data remains on your device or in your personal iCloud account under Apple's data processing terms. You retain the following rights:
