By downloading, installing, or using Velox, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
Velox is a GPS-based speedometer application for iPhone. It displays real-time speed, records trips, provides driving analysis, and offers optional features including crash detection, sensor fusion, and iCloud sync. Velox is intended for informational and entertainment purposes only.
Velox is intended for users aged 17 and older. By using this app, you confirm that you are at least 17 years of age.
Velox uses your device's GPS sensor to calculate and display your current speed in real time. Location data is also used to track trips, record routes, calculate distance, and display speed on Dynamic Island while the app is in the background. All location data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to any SolarityAI server.
Velox continues to access your location while in the background to keep your trip active, record your route, and update the Dynamic Island. A blue indicator will appear in the iOS status bar when background location is active. You can end the trip at any time by stopping for 2 minutes or manually ending it.
Velox uses your device's accelerometer and gyroscope to detect driving events such as hard braking, sudden acceleration, and sharp cornering. This data is used to calculate a driving score and to detect potential crashes. All sensor data processing happens on your device. No sensor data is transmitted externally.
Crash detection is an EXPERIMENTAL feature. If enabled, Velox may detect severe impacts using motion sensors and automatically call your designated emergency contact with a voice message containing your GPS coordinates after a 10-second countdown. You can cancel the call at any time during the countdown.
Important limitations:
GPS-based speed readings are approximations only and may not be accurate. Signal quality can be affected by tunnels, tall buildings, dense urban areas, weather conditions, satellite geometry, and device hardware. Speed, distance, altitude, and all other measurements displayed by Velox should NEVER be considered accurate or reliable for any purpose.
Sensor Fusion (Beta) combines GPS with accelerometer data using prediction algorithms. Speed estimates from Sensor Fusion may differ from actual speed, lag behind, overshoot, or produce incorrect readings. This feature is experimental and disabled by default.
Velox is NOT a certified speed measurement device. It cannot be used as a legal reference for speed verification, traffic violation disputes, insurance claims, or any official purpose. No data produced by this app has any legal validity.
Continuous background location access will increase battery consumption. SolarityAI is not responsible for battery drain resulting from background trip tracking. Keep your device plugged in during long drives.
All your data stays on your device. Velox does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information with third parties. No account is required. For full details, please read our Privacy Policy.

SolarityAI LLC and its developers, employees, officers, and affiliates accept ZERO liability for any consequences arising from the use of this app, including but not limited to: traffic violations, fines, accidents, injuries, death, property damage, data loss, iCloud sync failures or data corruption, battery drain caused by background location tracking, missed or failed emergency calls, incorrect speed readings, sensor fusion estimation errors, driving score inaccuracies, or any other direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
SolarityAI is not responsible for data loss, corruption, or sync failures related to iCloud. iCloud availability and reliability are governed by Apple.
BY USING THIS APP, YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS SolarityAI LLC from any claims, damages, or legal actions arising from your use. You waive all claims against SolarityAI LLC to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
